The present report highlights some of the strategic actions that the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) has taken to become a catalyst in the coordinated implementation of the Habitat Agenda. This has entailed a shift towards enabling, empowering and entrusting existing and new partners to partake in decision-making, priority-setting and implementation. This approach was used to establish and launch the World Urban Campaign, which spearheads the efforts of UN-Habitat to work closely with Habitat Agenda partners to elevate the importance accorded to sustainable urbanization in public policy and in public and private investment.
